This patient was missing a bicuspid tooth and wished to have it replaced. Less ideal options such as a partial denture or a fixed bridge were possible however the patient desired a free standing tooth by way of a crown placed on a dental implant.

Some months after the implant was placed, bone had grown tightly around the implant.

	A porcelain crown was placed on the implant. Notice how smoothly the crown flows onto the implant. This precise work makes periodontal (gum) problems unlikely.
	The crown itself looks like a natural tooth. It is free standing and is not removable. The replacement of old silver/mercury restorations with white ones and a little tooth whitening can complete a wonderful smile.
